So I planned on doing my take on the kindle/nook, but then almost changed my mind when i saw that a fellow classmate had already done it. Then i thought to myself there is still more to be said.
First, there is nothing like flipping the crisp pages of a new book. I always sniff the pages when I flip through the book. I know it sounds weird but i love the scent of new or old pages. I always want to be the first to bend the cover back and make the crease along the binding of the book. I dare anyone to crease it before I. The sounds the sheets make as they are turned is most relaxing. I don't ever have to worry about my book glitching out. I know that i can always rely on it to be handy when ready to read. The cover is always they first thing that entices me to read.
Don't get me wrong I definitely see the perks to these reading machines. I wish they had them back when I was in elementary school and didn't want to read for my book reports. It can read to me. Let's see what else can they do? it provides me with a few games to play, but when I am reading playing a game is the last thing on my mind. Do they really think that this can replace the traditional book? Just takes the fun out of going to the book store and looking at all of the amazing covers and reading the amazing summaries.
i can't see myself ever giving into buying a kindle or a nook. I really just do not see the point. Point blank period.
